Coverage
Encinitas
The most varied housing on the San Diego County round, and no single typical repair anywhere in it.
Within a few streets there are original beach cottages with equipment in place for decades, remodels carrying current professional ranges, and new construction with everything integrated. That range is the point: there is no typical repair here, and a technician who has only ever seen one vintage of equipment guesses more than they diagnose.
Closer to the water, in Cardiff and Leucadia, the salt-air condenser problem applies as it does along the whole shoreline — fins loading, then corroding, then a cabinet that copes overnight and struggles by mid-afternoon. Smith Appliance Repair, (949) 979-4880.
