Range, Rangetop & Cooktop Repair

Ignition, burners and simmer control account for nearly every cooktop call we take.

Professional ranges are mechanically simple at the top and electrically fussy underneath. A burner that clicks and will not light is nearly always the igniter, the spark module, or a burner cap seated a millimetre out of position — and that last one costs nothing to fix.

Induction is a different diagnosis entirely. A single dead zone is that zone’s coil or its section of the board, not the whole cooktop, which is worth knowing before someone quotes you a replacement surface.

Symptoms

What it usually turns out to be

Find your symptom below and you will know roughly what to expect before we arrive.

Burner clicks continuously and will not light

Igniter or spark module — but we check the burner cap seating first, because it is free.

Flame uneven or yellow

Blocked ports or an orifice problem. On open-burner ranges this is the single most common complaint and cleaning is genuinely part of the repair.

Simmer setting scorching food

On ranges with a pulsed low-simmer function this is the control or its sensor, not the burner.

One induction zone dead

That zone’s coil or board section. Rarely the whole cooktop.

Knobs stiff, loose or not illuminating

Valve stems needing service, or the illumination harness on ranges where the lit knobs are the signature.

Griddle or charbroiler not holding heat

The integrated thermostat. These sections take more abuse than anything else on the range.

Gas smell is not a service call — leave the house and call the gas company first. We will pick it up from there.

He was incredibly professional and efficient, responded immediately to our inquiry. Even though our appliance was beyond repair, he still did what he could to help us figure out next steps. 100% would call again for any issue.

Our Sub-Zero stopped cooling and I was panicking about losing all our food. Vlad came same day with the parts already in his van. Fixed it in under an hour. This is what real service looks like. Highly recommend!
