Viking Range & Refrigerator Repair in San Diego & Orange County

Viking built its reputation on professional-grade cooking equipment, and the faults follow that build: heavy hardware, high heat, and ignition.

Viking ranges run hotter and heavier than domestic equipment, and the parts that wear are the ones that live in that heat — igniters, thermostats, door hinges and springs. None of it is exotic. All of it is repairable, and most of it in a single visit.

Viking refrigeration is a different animal from the ranges and is often serviced by people who only really know the cooking line. We work on both, which matters when a fault turns out to be the ice maker rather than the door that would not close.

Every Viking repair carries our one-year warranty on parts and labor, we fit genuine OEM components only, and the $89 diagnostic is waived when you go ahead with the work.

Symptoms

Common Viking problems we fix

If one of these describes your appliance, you already know more than most callers do — tell us which and we will bring the right part.

Oven igniter glowing but not lighting

The classic Viking fault. A glow-bar igniter weakens long before it fails outright: it still glows, but no longer draws enough current to open the gas valve. The oven takes longer and longer to light, then stops. Measurable, and an ordinary part.

Oven temperature wrong or wandering

Thermostat or sensor drift, exactly as on the other professional lines. We verify against a calibrated probe rather than trusting the display that is reporting the fault.

Surface burners lighting unevenly

Usually a clogged burner port or a spark electrode that has cracked its ceramic. Cheap to fix and easy to misdiagnose as a gas-pressure problem.

Door sagging or not sealing

Viking doors are heavy and their hinges and springs eventually give. A door that no longer seals costs temperature, browning and gas — and it is a hardware repair, not an electronics one.

Refrigerator not cooling

On the refrigeration line the common causes are the evaporator fan, the defrost circuit and the condenser. We diagnose in that order, because the expensive answer is also the rarest one.

Ice maker not filling

Inlet valve, fill tube or water pressure. We measure pressure at the valve before replacing anything downstream of it.

Our Sub-Zero stopped cooling and I was panicking about losing all our food. Vlad came same day with the parts already in his van. Fixed it in under an hour. This is what real service looks like. Highly recommend!

He was at my house in less than 30 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the issue and ordered the part. My machine was up and running in 2 days when I had anticipated a 1-2 week wait. I can’t recommend him enough!

Vlad solved an issue with our fridge that we have had ever since we bought it. No one else had been able to figure it out — zero water pressure from fridge as well as a broken ice machine. Would call him again for any future appliance fixes!

Questions

Viking repair FAQ

My Viking oven takes forty minutes to light. Is that dangerous?

It is the classic sign of a weakening glow-bar igniter, and it should be dealt with rather than lived with: gas is being released for longer than it should before ignition. It is a routine same-day repair.

Do you service Viking outdoor grills and refrigeration?

Yes. Coastal installations in particular need attention to corrosion on burners and condensers.

Are Viking parts hard to get?

Common wear parts are stocked. Anything model-specific is ordered against your model and serial number, and you will know the price and the date before we leave.

Viking not working right?

Same-day appointments available. The $89 diagnostic is waived when you go ahead with the repair.
