Wolf Range, Oven & Cooktop Repair in San Diego & Orange County

Wolf cooking equipment fails in a small number of well-understood ways, and almost all of them are repairable in one visit.

Wolf builds its ranges around sealed burners, a heavy convection system and control electronics that are more capable — and more particular — than anything in a mass-market range. A Wolf that will not light or will not hold temperature is rarely a dead range. It is usually one igniter, one sensor, or one relay.

The trap with Wolf is temperature drift. An oven that browns unevenly or runs thirty degrees under the setpoint is not "getting old" — it is a temperature sensor out of tolerance or a convection fan slowing, and both are ordinary parts. People replace an entire range over a fault that costs a fraction of it.

Every Wolf repair carries our one-year warranty on parts and labor, we fit genuine OEM components only, and the $89 diagnostic is waived when you go ahead with the work.

Symptoms

Common Wolf problems we fix

If one of these describes your appliance, you already know more than most callers do — tell us which and we will bring the right part.

Burner clicks but will not light

A spark that continues after the burner should have lit means the igniter or the spark module, not the gas supply. On sealed burners it is often as simple as a burner cap seated a millimetre out of position — we check that before quoting a part.

Oven will not reach temperature, or overshoots

The temperature sensor drifts with age and the oven faithfully obeys a wrong reading. Symptoms are uneven browning, a preheat that never completes, or a range that reads correct and cooks wrong. A sensor is a modest part and a calibration check confirms it.

Dual-fuel oven not heating while burners work

Gas top, electric oven — so a working cooktop tells you nothing about the oven circuit. The usual causes are the bake element, the relay board, or the door latch switch convincing the oven it is in clean mode.

Convection fan noisy or stopped

The fan motor bearing is the usual culprit; a fan that has stopped turns a convection oven into a slow, uneven conventional one, which is exactly the complaint we hear.

Blue LED knobs dim, flickering or dead

A cosmetic-looking fault that is genuinely electrical — the illumination harness or its connector. Worth fixing on a range where the knobs are the signature.

Steam oven errors or poor steam

Scale in the boiler and a blocked water path account for most steam faults in Southern California’s hard water. Descaling on schedule prevents the expensive version of this repair.

Equipment

Wolf models and lines we service

Dual-fuel ranges

Gas cooktop over an electric convection oven — the most common Wolf in high-end San Diego kitchens, in 30, 36, 48 and 60 inch widths.

Gas and induction cooktops

Sealed-burner gas, and the induction tops where a failure is usually the control board or a single cooking-zone coil rather than the whole surface.

Built-in wall ovens

Single and double wall ovens, including the convection and convection-steam combinations.

Ranges with griddle and charbroiler

The integrated griddle thermostat and charbroiler burners, which take more abuse than anything else on the range.

Our Sub-Zero stopped cooling and I was panicking about losing all our food. Vlad came same day with the parts already in his van. Fixed it in under an hour. This is what real service looks like. Highly recommend!

Questions

Wolf repair FAQ

My Wolf oven bakes unevenly. Is that normal for a convection oven?

No. Uneven browning on a Wolf usually means the temperature sensor has drifted or the convection fan has slowed. Both are diagnosable in one visit with a calibration check.

Can you repair the range and the cooktop on the same call?

Yes — and we would rather do that than book twice. Tell us both faults when you call so the van is stocked for both.

Do you descale steam ovens?

Yes. In this water it is maintenance, not repair, and it is far cheaper than the boiler replacement it prevents.

Wolf not working right?

Same-day appointments available. The $89 diagnostic is waived when you go ahead with the repair.
